Kirane was born from the meeting of Karine Naly, who fell in love with India and its artisans in 2017, and her partner Bhanu Singh. Together they founded an artisanal home linen house living between Paris and Jaipur, driven by a shared vision: ethical, durable, handmade textiles. Discover our story in pictures.

All our pieces are handmade in our Villa Kirane workshop in Jaipur, Rajasthan (India), by salaried artisans practising wood block printing with techniques passed down from generation to generation.

Villa Kirane is our own production workshop, created in 2018 in Jaipur by Karine and Bhanu. It guarantees dignified, respectful working conditions for our artisans and keeps Indian textile crafts alive: wood block printing, hand weaving, natural dyes.

Each collection is produced by hand, in small batches: that's the rhythm of handmade, and our way of avoiding overproduction. If an item is sold out, contact us: made-to-order production is often possible.

Block printing is an artisanal textile printing technique practised in India for over 4,000 years. An artisan carves a pattern into a hardwood block (teak or rosewood), dips it in dye and presses it by hand onto the fabric. Every print is unique thanks to slight variations in pressure and ink.

Khadi is cotton spun on a traditional wheel (charkha) and handwoven on a wooden loom in the villages of Rajasthan. Temperature-regulating and breathable, it develops a beautiful patina over time. Discover our khadi collection.

Turn the fabric over: on real block print, the pattern is visible on the reverse. Look at the joins: slight offsets between prints are the mark of handwork. To the touch, block print leaves no raised layer: if you feel a layer of ink in relief, it's screen printing. Our detailed comparison tells you everything.

Block print is applied by hand with wooden blocks: the pigments penetrate deep into the fibre, the fabric keeps its natural feel and every piece is unique. Screen printing is a mechanical process that deposits ink on the surface: a uniform result, sometimes stiffened fabric, and less resistance to washing. Yes, our artisans use pigments of natural origin: indigo (blue), turmeric (yellow), pomegranate (red-brown), weld (green) and iron (black). These water-based dyes are biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

Every Kirane piece is hand-printed: slight variations in pattern, ink thickness and shade are the signature of craftsmanship. These micro-differences guarantee your piece is unique and attest to genuinely handmade production.

Exclusively natural materials: block-printed cotton, cotton voile for bedding, cotton velvet, hand-spun and handwoven khadi, linen and linen voile, and woven natural fibres. Production offcuts are upcycled into accessories (pouches, bags, scarves).

Wash cold or at 30°C maximum, delicate cycle, with mild soap and no bleach. Air dry, preferably in the shade, and iron inside out on low heat. On the first wash, add a spoonful of white vinegar per litre of water to set the colours. Full details in our complete care guide.

Natural pigments penetrate deep into the fibre and hold excellently. Slight bleeding on the first wash is normal and does not recur. Add white vinegar to the first two washes to set the colours.

We advise against it: prefer air drying, in the shade, to preserve the natural fibres and the brightness of your pieces' pigments.

Depending on the model, our cushion covers come in 30×50 cm, 40×60 cm and 45×45 cm, as well as round versions and giant XL cushions 110×55 cm.

We offer cushion inserts for every format: 30×50, 40×60, 45×45, round and XL 110×55 cm. Inserts are sold separately. For a plump look, choose an insert equal to or slightly larger than the cover.

Our sofa covers come in one size, 85×185 cm, which suits the vast majority of sofas. Draped over the seat and backrest, the throw dresses your sofa with a natural, elegant fall. More advice in our article how to choose a sofa cover.

Our block print curtains measure 110×270 cm, khadi curtains 130×300 cm, and our linen voiles come in large dimensions. Clip rings (set of 7) let you hang them easily, without sewing or eyelets.

Our sets come in two duvet cover sizes: 220×240 cm and 240×260 cm, each with two 65×65 cm pillowcases. In soft, light, breathable cotton voile, with a refined envelope closure and matching ties.

Our tablecloths come in several formats depending on the model, from a 150×150 cm square to a large 180×300 cm table. They are completed by matching napkins (sets of 2 or 4), placemats, tea towels, aprons and oven mitts for a coordinated table.

Orders ship from France within 2 working days (up to 4 in busy periods). Delivery is by Colissimo: allow 3 to 5 working days in mainland France and 5 to 10 working days internationally.

Between €4.99 and €9.99 depending on the weight of your order. Shipping may be free above a certain cart value or during special offers.

Yes, we ship internationally from France. Allow 5 to 10 working days depending on the destination, once the order has been dispatched.

A tracking number is emailed to you as soon as your parcel ships. Products are insured by us until delivery.

Yes, your orders are shipped in recycled, eco-responsible packaging, in line with our commitment to durable textiles.

Our collections are produced in limited quantities. If you've fallen for an item that's no longer available, write to us at hello@kirane.com: made-to-order production is often possible.

Yes. Made-to-measure and pre-order items are delivered within 3 to 4 weeks, with the exact time given at order. Please note: these items cannot be returned or exchanged.

Yes, you have 14 calendar days after receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal. Contact us first: we will send you the procedure, and you then have 7 days to ship the parcel. Items must be in perfect condition, unwashed, in their original packaging.

Return shipping is at the customer's expense, except in the case of a defect or an error on our part with the order. Good to know: for an exchange, return shipping is free.

Yes. For an exchange of size, colour or model, contact customer service at hello@kirane.com (return shipping for exchanges is free). We can also offer a store credit for the value of the returned item, valid for one year.

A parcel not collected from the pick-up point and returned to our warehouse cannot be refunded, as the legal 14-day period has passed. We then offer a credit of equivalent value or an exchange.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express bank cards, as well as Google Pay. Payment is 100% secure via Shopify, with 3D Secure authentication.

Yes! The Kirane gift card is available from €20 to €200. Sent by email, it can be used across the whole site. The perfect gift for lovers of beautiful materials.
