Two complementary worlds, one shared love of craftsmanship. Karine Naly and Karine Lanny have come together to create a sensitive and luminous capsule collection: Saheli Print.
When gestures echo one another
It all begins in Jaipur, in the light of an Indian winter. The two Karines meet at Villa Kirane, in the heart of the Pink City. Friends for years, they have followed each other's work closely. This timeless moment becomes the starting point for a shared project, intimate and bold.
On one side, the poetic prints of Kirane, crafted by hand in our Jaipur workshops. On the other, the clean lines and tender colours of Monochromic, a ceramic studio based in Marseille.
From this affinity, a four-handed collection is born, where clay and textile converse around a shared motif: the Volage swallow by Monochromic, a messenger of freedom and renewal.
'Saheli': friendship as a guiding thread
Saheli, in Hindi, means 'female friendship'. This name, both gentle and strong, embodies the essence of this collaboration. Saheli Print is not a mere fusion of expertise: it is a tribute to the passing on of knowledge, to sisterhood, to shared craftsmanship, in keeping with the commitment carried by the women of Villa Kirane.
A collection with the feel of summer
Available in a tender palette of infinite blue and Indian pink, the collection invites you to escape and embrace softness. It consists of:
- Three hand-printed cushion covers, where the swallow hides among the Indian arabesques like a secret.
- A pareo and a scarf, light as the wind, perfect for sunny days.
- A set of placemats and matching napkins, to celebrate the art of living in the sun.
- A hand-painted Volage swallow, coordinated with the colours of the signature print. A poetic piece to hang.
Each creation carries within it the trace of the gesture, the patience of the handmade, and the shared desire to offer lasting, sensitive objects that carry meaning.
A creative flight between two worlds
Saheli Print is that rare moment when worlds meet without merging. The swallow motif becomes the connecting thread between two sensibilities: the solar energy of Kirane's prints, and the mineral finesse of Monochromic. Each piece tells a story — of an Indian summer, a meeting, a friendship taking flight.
Between Southern poetry and ancestral gestures
By choosing Saheli Print, you choose much more than an object. You support a responsible art of living, a living craft, creations made with the heart. And you take with you a fragment of this unique collaboration, between Jaipur and Marseille, between earth and sky.
