For 7 years, the lotus flower has been an integral part of Kirane's DNA. A symbol of purity, renewal and spirituality, this traditional Indian pattern is at the heart of our approach.
Today, we are proud to present our contemporary lotus pattern collection, where tradition and modern aesthetics meet.
The symbolism of the lotus flower
The lotus flower is much more than a simple decorative pattern. Originating from Indian culture, it embodies:
- purity: emerging from the mud, it remains intact and radiant,
- renewal: it unfolds each morning, reinventing itself,
- spirituality: in Buddhism and Hinduism, it represents enlightenment, the elevation of the soul.
These ancient meanings remain powerful and universal: they resonate perfectly with contemporary sensibilities.
From tradition to modernity
Since our beginnings, we have been working the lotus pattern using traditional methods, notably block print on soft cotton, with rosewood blocks.
But this season, we are reimagining it: more graphic, two-tone, with bold contrasts. Two new variations, black and café, that warm up and contrast with the lighter shades of the fabric while remaining elegant.
The result? An iconic pattern that blends harmoniously into modern interiors, whether minimalist, chic or reimagined bohemian.
Why this collection is unique
- Craftsmanship and expertise: rosewood carving, hand-stamping, block print.
- Reimagined aesthetics: clean graphic design, contrast of natural colours, elegant simplicity.
- Timelessness: deeply rooted in Indian tradition, this reimagined pattern lends itself to current trends.
- Durability and softness: quality cotton, respectful artisanal technique, pieces that last.
How to bring it into your home
- In textiles: cushion covers, throws, curtains. The lotus pattern pairs beautifully with neutral tones (beige, light grey) or darker shades (black, café).
- As a statement piece: a cushion cover or a lotus throw on a monochrome sofa or bed, to create a focal point.
- In layering: combine it with natural textures (wood, linen) to accentuate the contrast between the pattern and the simplicity of the materials.
